Diane Givens was born to Issac Lazar and Elizabeth Berkov-Berkley on April 19th, 1924 in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. Her father is of Russian decent, and immigrated from Russia, while her mother is from Yugoslavia decent and immigrated from Yugoslavia with her family. She married Orinn Hicks and had a daughter, Stephinie Givens-Pinyan. They divorced, and she remarried Richard Carlton Givens and had one son, Jeffrey Givens. They divorced in April 1964. She remained unmarried the rest of her life. She died on May 26th, 1996 at granddaughter Jennifer's house with son Jeffrey and wife Deborah, daughter Stephinie and granddaughter Jennifer. She would never meet her other granddaughter, Nina.
