LIBERTYVILLE -- Mark E. Johnston, 82, of Libertyville, died at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 1994, at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds with the Rev. Harold Harryman officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery. Open visitation begins at noon Friday at the funeral home with the family present from 7 to 8 that night. Memorials may be left at the funeral home.
Johnston was born Jan. 27, 1912, near Lebanon, the son of Fern and Olive Brewer Johnston. He married Erma Philips on Sept. 20, 1933, in Fairfield. He farmed, worked at Caviness and O'Neill coal companies, and Parsons College, all in Fairfield. He retired from Supply Co-op of Libertyville. He had lived in Libertyville since 1949 before entering the nursing home in 1993.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Carroll of Douds; three daughters, Janice Schlicher and Tracey Hellweg, both of Fairfield; Marlene Stufflebeam of Brighton; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
