It is the names and dates of the children buried in this Hedges family plot, which point back to Morristown, NJ roots. As such, I am relying on the two children (Harriet Augusta Hedges and Jacob David Hedges) to point to their parents, David & Sarah Hedges, as being David Hedges b. 1782, and wife nee, Sarah Wilson, daughter of Nathaniel Wilson. I am looking at a one page compilation initialed by JDC (Mr Crayon), I believe an early genealogy librarian/researcher at Morristown NJ public library or the Presbyterian church; JDC cites to a Cemetery Register 105 & 306/307 which pagination seems to align with the Presbyterian Cemetery a few blocks away from this library.

JD Crayon names (on this page) 8 Hedges children for David & Sarah, namely Mary Carter, Ann Eliz., Elias Wilson, Hannah Sophia, Sarah Emily, Harriet Augusta, Jacob David, Julia Clementina. Four of these eight kids seem to be buried north of Toledo, Brigham Cemetery, Monroe Co, Michigan, further pointing to this family settling in the Toledo area. I notice at Brigham: Ann Eliz Hedges Teall, is she second wife of Asaph? fagr#28562436; Asaph Teall fagr#28562510. Thank you to all the Hedges and Ludlow/Ludlam findagraver researchers for their help.

This David Hedges is listed as the youngest sibling to the eldest sibling, Elias Hedges (1770/1813), the head of the Hamilton County/Butler Co., Ohio branch of the Morristown, NJ family. Funds are being sought to replace Elias Hedges and his wife's disintegrating tombstones; 2013 marked the 200th anniversary of his 1813 death. Please contribute any amount earmarked for restoration of Hedges Cemetery at historic Dunlap Station, OH. Thanks!
