Gayle Marie Fortner, 66, of Gessie, died at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Il.

She was born April 26, 1943 in Danville, Il. to the late Donald P. and Ruby Kiger Dickerson. On April 15, 1965, she married Carl L. Fortner in Danville. He survives.

Also surviving are four children, Patti Elliott of Hagerstown, Md., Donna Watkins (husband: Kevin) of Danville, Tamara Bruno (husband: Robin) of Pinellas Park, Fl. and Troy Fortner (wife: Stephanie) of Hohenwald, Tennessee.
