TOLAR - Howard B. Whitley, an attendant for the Brazos River Authority, died Tuesday at his Tolar home. He was 67. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Granbury Church of Christ, where he was a member. Burial will be in Dobbs Valley Cemetery in Palo Pinto County. Wiley Funeral Home in Glen Rose is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Whitley was born in Brazos and had lived in Hood County since 1955. He was a Navy veteran.
Survivors: Wife, Gloria Whitley of Tolar; three sons, Mike Whitley of Tolar, Jimmy Whitley of Lake Palo Pinto and Todd Whitley of Granbury; two sisters, Zetha Mae Young of Brock and Eunice Smothers of Ferriday, La.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
