Henry C. Franklin Sr. 93, Tunis Street, died Monday morning. Mr. Franklin was a native of Covington County, Ala. He moved to Troy in 1935 where he was engaged in the furniture business. In 1946 he and his sons purchased the business from his emplover and they remained as owners until it was sold in 1954, at which time they moved to Pensacola and opened a furniture store that they operated until his retirement in 1957. He was a member of the Gateway Church of Christ. He served as an Elder of the former Jordan St. Church of Christ. Survivors, include his wife, Madge Franklin of Pensacola; two sons, Tom Franklin and Clayton Franklin, Jr., both of Pensacola; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
