Funeral services for W P Hover were held at the Hover home on 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with Rev Benj Me Keen officiating Special music was furnished by Mr and Mrs F E Poellot, Miss Dorothy Anderson and Dr II A Simon The Masonic order of which Mr Hover was a member attended the services in a body. The body was then sent to Sheldon, Iowa where funeral services were conducted and interment was made Mr Hover passed away at his home in this city late Monday evening following a lingering illness of several weeks The cause of his death was attributed to heart trouble and other complications. William Perry Hover was born April 9, 1867, at Melville III He was the eldest of four children of Mr and Mrs Wallace Hover. He received his education and early training in the schools of Illinois He later resided in Iowa and South Dakota In 1922 he moved to Coleridge where he has since resided and during which time he has served as electrician at the Coleridge Light & Power plant In July 1921 Mr Hover married Mrs Mabel Blaising By his former marriage he was the father of 14 children five of whom have proceeded him in death. During his early life he devoted much time to music and later studied electric engineering He was a charter member of the Mistletoe Lodge at Sheldon, Iowa. He was a member of the Presbyterian church until five years ago when his membership was transferred to the Coleridge Congregational church. While in Coleridge he was an active member in all social and community affairs. He leaves to mourn his death nine children: Mrs Essie Goddard of Dow City Iowa, Mrs Harriet Weakley Chicago, Mrs Maude Ellis of Sioux City, Mrs Hazel Adele, and Mrs Grace Donohue of Trinidad Colorado, Mrs Ethel Weenink Le Mars Iowa, Miss Margaret Hover Denison, Iowa Miss Dorothy Hover of Des Moines and Ted Hover of Omaha. Two brothers Carl of Los Angeles and Charles of Plainview one sister Mrs Zella Green of Denison Iowa, two stepchildren and 18 grandchildren also survive.
