CHILLICOTHE -- Ray Kenneth Bornsheuer, 71, of Midland, Mich., formerly of Chillicothe, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 1997, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Midland. Born Feb. 28, 1926, in Chillicothe to Harry and Clementine Rusk Bornsheuer, he married Carol Droll on Sept. 4, 1949, in Chillicothe. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Sherry Goff of Midland; one son, Ray of Overland Park, Kan.; and three grandchildren.

A World War II Army Air Forces veteran, he was a member of Chillicothe Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4999. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad, retiring in 1984 as division engineer.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Chillicothe, where services will be at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Ray Harrison will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services at the church. Cremation has been accorded. Burial will be in LaSalle Cemetery in rural Chillicothe. Arrangements are by Weber Funeral Home, Chillicothe.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
