Lee W Tucker, age 67, passed away peacefully in his sleep Wednesday, August 28, 2002 after a long, hard struggle with his failing health.
He is the son of Jesse and Mable Reid Tucker, both deceased.
He married Lucy Spencer almost 45 years ago and they were blessed with eight wonderful children, 20 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, all still living.
His children are: Lark (Tim) Hamilton, Shelley Tucker, Terri Lee, Becky (Tim) Greenwalt, Heidi (Glen) Titler, Jason (Agnes) Tucker, Jodi (Rick) Evans and Derek (Cindy) Tucker.
In addition, he is survived by brothers, Charles and Therril; sister, Sharon. He will be greatly missed.
Lee served a mission for the LDS Church in the Western States and was active duty in the US Army for six months, followed by reserve duty.
His working career was shared by Lucy, doing insurance audits and inspections.
He was honored with a lifetime achievement award by the Insurance Auditors of the West and has served as their president.
His life was marked indelibly by the great love he had for, and firm example he was to, his family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m. at the Jordan 6th Ward, 3650 West 4400 South.
Friends and family may call Friday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m.
Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
