Joyce M. Vohs, 91, of Burlington, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Pine Brook Pointe.


Born December 21, 1924 in Racine, she was the daughter of Fred and Anna (nee Clausen) Bauman. She was a lifetime resident of the Burlington area where she attended school, graduating from Ag School in Rochester, WI.


On April 7, 1945, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Burlington, she was united in marriage to Robert O. Vohs. They made their home in Burlington and enjoyed 69 years of marriage before Bob passed away on November 2, 2014. Joyce was a homemaker and mother to 5 children. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was active with the St. John's Mission Society, St. John's OWL and was a leader in Lutheran Girl Pioneers for many years. Joyce enjoyed sewing, camping, family vacations and babysitting for her grandchildren.


Joyce is survived by her children, Paul (Carolyn) Vohs of Beloit, Doris Vohs of Forsyth, MO, Carol (Wayne) Amborn of Burlington, Joan (Russ) Wagner of Appleton and Nancy Vohs of Burlington; 10 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Carolee Vohs, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Ruth Braatz and Lorna Vorpagel; grandson, Mark Amborn and granddaughter-in-law, Ange Vohs.
