Mrs. Nellie J. TORPHY, widow of Patrick H. TORPHY, who died here three years ago, passed away Sunday in Tacoma. Funeral services were held here yesterday from St. Mary's Star of the Sea church and interment was in the Catholic cemetery.

The deceased was born in Wisconsin January 11, 1862 and was over 75 years of age at the time of her passing. She and her husband came west a number of years ago and he worked as a foreman in the digging of the Great Northern tunnel through the Cascades.

Surviving relatives include three daughters, Mrs. Neman ELDRIDGE of Tacoma, Mrs. J.M. LAWLER of Portland and Mrs. Frank PLASTINO of Tacoma.

The funeral services yesterday were in charge of Port Townsend Mortuary. The Rev. Father DILLON read the service.

Following her husband's death three years ago, Mrs. TORPHY lived with another daughter, Mrs. Frank PLASTINO, in Tacoma.

Her death followed a six week illness brought on by two paralytic strokes, complications of age and pneumonia brought the end on Sunday.
