Danny Machac, Jr., age 25, of West, died Sunday evening, May 15, 1994 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. A rosary was recited 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption in West by Rev. Ed Karasek. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery near West. Mr. Machac was born April 14, 1969 in Waco. He attended St. Mary’s School and West Elementary schools and graduated from West High School in 1987. He was awarded the Alcoa Scholarship to attend T.S.T.C. in 1992 and 1993. He received an associate degree in Electrical Power Technology from Texas State Technical College in 1993. He worked for Gulf States Paper Company in Waco since June 1993. Prior to that, he worked for Brew Lock & Safe Company in Waco. He was a member of the T.S.T.C. baseball team and an avid fisherman and rodeo participant. He was also a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Patsy and George W. Berry, Jr. of West; his father Danny Ray Machac, Sr. of West; one brother and sister-in-law, Marc and Becky Machac of West; one sister, Nicole Machac of West; one nephew, Lane Machac of West; his maternal grandparents, Albin and Ella Macik of West; his paternal grandfather, Raymond L. Machac of West; his maternal great-grandmother, Bertha Klish of West; and several cousins, aunts and uncles. Pallbearers were James Macik, Jeff Tobola, Chad Rizo, Heath Mosley, Darrell Gamble, Alan Bettge, Larry Mynar, Jr. and Gerald Kutcherousky. Aderhold Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
