Joseph L. Dvorsky, 88, of Beaumont and formerly of West, died Monday, December 17, 1979 in a Beaumont hospital.

Mass of Christian Burail was celebrated at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, the Rev. George Doskocil officiating. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 18 in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Dvorsky was born in Fayette County and was raised in San Jose, Calif. He moved to West in 1926 and lived there until 1974 when he moved to Beaumont. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in West. His wife Anna died on April 21, 1966.

Survivors include a son, Joe R. Dvorsky of Waco; two daughters, Lois Hyneck of Vidor and Mrs. Ann Horne of Beaumont; two sisters, Mrs. Louis Snokhous and Mrs. Henry Macicek, both of West; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Raymond Holy, Frank Macicek, Cyril Svrcek, John J. Mynar, Frank Nemec and Danny Devorsky.
