Ronald Gene Allen 42, Sparta, died Friday evening, Jan. 17, 1992 in his home.

He was born in 1949 in Ozark, the son of Donald and Mary Davis Allen. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, receiving the Combat Infantryman Badge, two silver stars and two Bronze stars, before being discharged in in October 1971. On August 1, 1983 he married Karen Williams in Miami, Oklahoma, he was employed by Fasco Industries in Ozark as a machine set -up man.

He was preceded in death by his father Donald Allen, and father-in-law , Frank Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Karen , and one son Daren, both of the home,his mother and step-father -in-law, Orville and Betty Holt, Reed Springs, a grandmother, Lessie Davis, Ozark, his-mother -in -law Opal Williams, Mansfield, two brothers, Rick Allen and wife Rayla, Ozark, Donnie Allen,Austin, Texas, four sisters, Sue Wester and husband, Jim, Ozark , Jeri Day and husband David, Ava, Sharon Neil and husband Doug, Highlandville , and Teri Allen, Nixa, two brothers-in-law, Harlin Williams and wife, Evelyn, Norwood, and Jerry Williams and wife, Carolyn, Macomb, three sister-in -laws ,
Donna O'Dell and husband , Hartville, Doris Floyd and husband,Jerry, Mansfield , and Delores Koster and husband,Roland , Norwood, two step brothers , Jim Holt and wife Saundra, Reed Springs, and Jesse Holt and wife, Virginia, Knob Noster, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Services were Monday in Harris Colonial Chapel, Ozark, with the Rev. Gary Jennings officiating, burial followed in Prospect Cemetery , Ozark.
