Odie was the daughter of Benjamin B Ball and Sarah Elizabeth Shortes. However, Sarah died in 1896 and her stepmother, Mandy Page, was essentially her mother. She married Carl McDonald. She did not marry until 1920 when she was about 31 and they never had children. They lived in the Bowie area for many years. He died in 1955 and she followed on 30 Jun 1971.
