Obit.—Everette Hayden Murphy, 76, of Rison, died March 5, 1999, at Cleveland County Nursing Home.

He was born April 16, 1922, at Ash Flat, son of the late Oscar and Maude Ritchie Murphy.

He was reared and received his education at Ash Flat. He moved to the Pine Bluff area in 1943.

He worked for the Cotton Belt Railroad as a brakemen for 40 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainsmen fro 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Murphy, in 1995.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Frederick of Sheridan and Karon Gaye Dorman of Pine Bluff; a sister, Lucille Preston of Pine Bluff; and three grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ralph Robinson and Son with Dr. David Harris in charge. Burial will be in Fitzhugh Cemetery.
