Stephen Williams was 4th son of Robert Williams "of Roxbury" & Elizabeth Stalham, and the second of his family to be born in the New World.

He married in 1666 Sarah Wise (b.19 Dec 1647 in Roxbury), and they had 12 children, all born in Roxbury:

Mary Williams, b. 20 DEC 1669;
Elizabeth Williams, b. 1 OCT 1672;
Bethia Williams, b. 26 APR 1676;
Stephen Williams, Jr, b. 27 AUG 1678;
