He was son of Edward and Wilhelmina Fatka Schoon and was born Jan. 17, 1903 in Thawvllle III, and was a resident of the Gilman area prior to moving to Chicago Heights several years ago.
He was married to Miss Vena Conn of Del Rey Jan. 4, 1930.
Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Carol Wineriller of Chicago Heights, a grandson, Samuel R. Winemiller, a brother, William Schoon of Avshkum; and two sisters, Mary Bouhl of Piper City and Mrs. Lucille Grish of Calumet City.
He was preceded In death by an Infant daughter, Marjorie: his parents' a brother; and a sister.
