William Frederick Meyer married Minnie Christine Lichte on 30 Nov 1882. Known children of this couple follow: Emma, Clara, twins Paul, Gertrude, and John Alvin.

A picture of William and Minnie (Lichte) Meyer is on p. 36 of A Lichte Family of Missouri. Mr. Meyer's obituary appears on p. 55 of same. Source for obituary is unknown, but a copy was sent to J. Denny by Mr. Meyer's granddaughter, Lucile Meyer.

"...He was a devoted husband, indulgent father, a kind, good neighbor and well liked by all who knew him as was evident by the large number of friends that attended the funeral. Stomach trouble, which failed to yield to treatment, was the cause of his death. He tried the waters of famous health resorts but failed to get relief and when he returned from Eureka Springs we talked to him and he talked as though he would be with us but a short time, had lost hope of improving and prepared to be at home his last days where loving hands could minister to his wants. He seemed reconciled to his fate. A good man has been taken from among us.
Peace to his ashes.
