Marine Corps PFC James Michael "Mike" Izzo died in the Piedmont airline crash at Kanawha airport.
Mike was a native of Charleston and a graduate of the Stonewall Jackson High School. He enlisted in May and was coming home from Camp Pendleton, Calif. on his first furlough.
He is survived by his mother: Mrs Ila Williams: brother, Joseph in Germany: grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Stump of Grantsville: and Me. and Mrs Joseph Izzo of Amsterdam, N.Y.
