W.L. "Bill" Azbell, 84, of Winona died of heart failure Monday, Sept. 9 1996 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.
Mr. Azell was the retired owner and operator of Bill's Cafe in Winona. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II and a member of the Winona American Legion Post.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday. Sept. 12 at Chapel with the Rev. Norris Corley officiating. Burial was in Coila Cemetery.
Mr. Azbell is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruby C. Azbell of Winona; three daughters, Barbara Farrel, Linda Beckwith and Tammy Chambers, all of Winona; two sons. Billy L. Azbell of Manchester. Tenn.. Garry Azbell of Puryear, Tenn.; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mike Azbell, Shane Azbell, Jimmy Ware, Phillip Ware, Chris Green, Jason Green, Don Hargrove, and Chad Azbell.
Oliver Funeral Home of Winona was in charge of arrangements.
