Aaron Fillmore Breeding, 89, of Kingsport, TN., died Sunday, February 13, 2000, at Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center.
He was born in Dickenson County. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force having served during World War II.
Mr. Breeding was a graduate of LMU in 1936 and had retired as a school teacher after more than 36 years of teaching at Ervinton High School, Nora, Virginia.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Velma Sutherland Breeding of the home; daughters, Ms. Kelly Breeding Beran of Greenville, TN., and Ms. Lillie Carol Breeding Tesch of Barrett, MN; sons, Albert K. Breeding of Castlewood, VA., and James H. Breeding of Spotsylvania, VA., Richard B. Breeding of Dante, VA., and Terry Breeding of Hickory, NC; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Military graveside services were conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 16, at Oak Hill Cemetery by Charles DeWitt Byrd VFW Post No. 3382. Pallbearers were members of the VFW Color Guard.
Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport, TN., was in charge of arrangements.
