James Donald Littlejohn graduated from Sand Springs High School in 1960 and attended Oklahoma City University, Oklahoma City, OK from 1960-1963. During his college days, James Donald served as a student supply pastor at the Cromwell, OK Methodist Church east of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He married Marialice Sitton, a student at OCU in 1963 from Durant, OK. They moved to Wichita, KS where they had a daughter Susan Deann Littlejohn. Susan Deann died of SDS and is buried at the Burleson Cemetery, Burleson, TX.
In 1964 James Donald Littlejohn enlisted in the US Navy and was stationed at Treasure Island, San Francisco, CA and Long Beach, CA.
In 1965, James Donald Littlejohn married Linda Sue Hollingsworth, an OCU graudate, at University Park Methodist Church, Dallas, Texas where she was employed and attending SMU Theology School.
They lived in Long Beach, CA, Osage, OK, and Tahlequah, OK.
James Donald Littlejohn served in the US. Navy aboard the USS Waddell, a guided missile destroyer that was based in Long Beach, California. He suffered a service-connected degloving accident and was retired from the US Navy in 1966.
Their three children are Elizabeth Dawn Littlejohn Key born in 1967 at Tinker AFB Hospital, Midwest City, OK; Kristen Elaine Littlejohn Dunn born in 1971 at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, OK; and James David Littlejohn, born in 1974 at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, OK.
