FAIRHOPE -- Lottie Lorraine LeGear Pearson, 76, died Monday, July 9, 2001, at a local health care facility. She was a native of Mobile and a resident of Fairhope. Mrs. Pearson was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She was an avid writer, painter and poet and worked with various charitable organizations on the Eastern Shore for many years. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, David H. Pearson Jr. of Fairhope; three daughters, Terre McPhail of Perdido Key, Fla., Pepe Huse of Dallas, and Karlie Poole of Fairhope; two sons, Robert Franklin Atkins of Fairhope and Thomas Edward Atkins of Huntsville; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at Bay view Funeral Home in Fairhope. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. in Memory Gardens of Fairhope. The family suggests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope.
