Son of Chester S. Burge (1875-1915) and Sarah Frances Pullen Burge-Durden (1880-1965). Husband of Mary Kennington Burge. He was survived by their son, John L. Burge. He was the center of investigation in the murder of his wife, but was eventually found not guilty. He moved to Palm Beach where he remarried a widow form Minnesota on April 5, 1961. He passed away from third degree burns two days after an explosion in an early morning fire.
