Clair J. Ardry, 85, Altoona, died Wednesday at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. He was born in Drifting to Harry & Cora (Moyer) Ardry.

He married Nancy M. Quirin, Nov. 4, 1980, in Las Vegas. Survived by son, Jeff Bradley and wife, Lori, Sterling, VA; three stepchildren: Ron Glunt and wife, Mary, Manhattan Beach, CA, Robin Vereneault and husband, Jim, Lewis, DE, and Robert Quirin and wife, Camille, Hershey; eight grandchildren; and sister, Vi Bashnick, Montoursville, PA. Pre-deceased by 10 siblings.

Clair was a 1942 graduate of Williamsport High School. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII as a private first class. He was the recipient of the EAME Theatre Service Medal with three Bronze Stars, WWII Victory Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal, Good Conduct Medal and American Theatre Medal. Clair retired in 1989 as a bus driver for Blue & White Bus Lines, Altoona, and he also worked for the Altoona Curve as a parking lot attendant. He was a member of the Swiss Club of Altoona.
