While vactioning at Bass Lake (near Hayward, WI.), Amy's daughter, Betty, swam too far into the lake, and drowned. When she no longer could see her daughter swimming in the lake, Amy grabbed a boat, and rowed to the spot where she last saw her daughter, and dove in. In her frantic attept to rescue her daughter, Amy too, drowned in the lake.
