Hold Services for Wm. Pugh
Final rites for William M. Pugh, native son of Linn County who died in the Lebanon hospital Dec. 28 of a heart ailment, were held Sunday afternoon, Dec. 30 in the Fisher Funeral chapel here.
Rev. Harold Williamson officiated, and burial was in the Union Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Mrs. Williamson was soloist, and Mrs. Dick Bowley, organist.
Born 66 years ago at Oakville, he was a retired S.P. railroad stationary fireman. He had lived at Oakridge for 30 years until he came to the Brownsville vicinity eight years ago.
He was married to Annie Fields at Albany in 1917. She survives, as do three sisters, seven children, 23 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Surviving him are the following children: Mrs. Jack Steinborn, Mrs. Betty Harrell, Leila Pugh and Jesse Pugh all of Brownsville; Mrs. Milo Flock of Kelso, Wash.; Robert Pugh of Longview, Wash., and Ralph Pugh of Springfield. His sisters are Mrs. Lou Walker of Brownsville, Mrs. Elma Huffman of Philomath and Mrs. Laura Agee of Boardman.
Bearers were Clyde Toedtemeier, Lewis McGarry, Ernest Chochell, Russell Taylor, Marvel Mishler and Frank Steuer.
