Born in Garrett County, he was a son of the late George W. and Annie (Robinson) Garlitz. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of Emmanuel Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. William L. Hetz, Avilton; Mrs. Eleanor Minnick, Finzel, and Mrs. Beatrice Durst, here; two brothers, Francis and Melvin Garlitz, here. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home where friends will be received from 3 until 5 and 7 until 9 p.m. today.
A service will be conducted there tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate and interment will follow in the Blocher Cemetery.
