Annie obtained her Canadian citizenship on Jan 13, 1937 under the name Annie Schwartzman Gertin. I was told that she intended to immigrate to the United States (Buffalo) to reside with her one son (my grandfather) that was living there. She unfortunately died before this happened.
It is not a mistake that there are two sons with the name Morris. Both took the same English name when they arrived in the United States and Canada. They were known in the family by their Yiddish names, so there was no confusion.
Her burial information is under the name of Anne Gechtin.
