Mrs. Thompson
Funeral services for Mrs. Cora Ellen Thompson, 53, of Briggs were held Saturday afternoon in the Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Malcolm Riker officiating. Burial followed in the Watson Cemetery. She died Thursday at her residence. Mrs. Thompson was born Sept, 7, 1934, in Killeen and had lived in Briggs for the past three years. She was married to John B. Thompson. She was a member of the Episcopal Church. Survivors include her husband of Briggs; a son, Tony Crooks of Houston; a daughter, Joellen Crooks of Austin; her mother, Mrs.Alma Black of Briggs; four step-grandchildren, an uncle and an aunt and a number of nieces and nephews.
Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Funeral Directors had charge of arrangements.
