Opelousas- Funeral services for Mrs. Dianne Bergeron Hebert, age 62, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2009, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville. Interment will follow in the St. Leo Cemetery Mausoleum.

Father Kenneth Domingue will celebrate the Mass.

Dianne was a native of the Opelousas area and was a resident of Lafayette. She died after a long battle of cancer on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at her residence surrounded by her family. She worked as a cashier at a local grocery store for many years.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. During her spare time, she loved to travel. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an extremely proud grandmother of her grandson, Cody Venable who is in the U. S. Army serving our country in Iraq.

Survivors include two sons: Jody Hebert of Lafayette; and David "2-P" Hebert and wife, Janet of Lafayette; two daughters: Lisa Trahan and husband, Donald of Lafayette; and Tammy Venable of Scott; mother, Florence Bergeron Devillier of Arnaudville; three brothers: Clarence Bergeron and wife, Lucy of Leonville; Calvin "Pete" Bergeron and wife, Anna of Covington; and Randy Bergeron and wife, Mary of Leonville; two sisters: Sheila Bergeron and companion, James Vincent of Opelousas; and Janell Billeaudeau and husband, Greg of Opelousas; sister-in-law, Dorothy "Dottie" Landry Bergeron of Pineville; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darold Wayne Hebert; father, Oris Joseph Bergeron; brother, Alvin Antoine Bergeron, and niece, Summer Monique Bergeron - (Mem # 128067082)

Pallbearers will be Jody Hebert, David Hebert, James Vincent, Donald Trahan, John Staton, and Blake Trahan. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Bordelon and Dakota Hebert.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, November 13, 2009, from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. On Saturday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. A Rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening in the funeral home.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Southern Hospice, Dr. Roth, Dr. Williams, and Dr. Cole; as well as, the entire staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
