Mrs. Ballard, 77, died Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at her home. Services will be 11:00AM, Friday, March 4, 2005 by the graveside in Anson Memorial Park. She was born in Charleston, SC August 30, 1927, a daughter of the late Thomas Bascom and Estelle Conway Miles. Barbara was a member of First Baptist Church in Wadesboro, a former member of Thomas Wade Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the 'Bid 'n Bye' Bridge Club and was retired from the Anson County Public Library. Her husband, John Irvin Ballard preceded her in death, April 10, 1992. Surviving are her daughter, her son and wife; her grandchildren, her sister. Her life centered around family and all were blessed to have had her as a mother and grandmother.
