Dennis Lyle Ramstad was born December 10, 1943 in Fargo, ND to Lyle and Lorraine (Dickson) Ramstad. He was raised on the family farm and attended Hunter schools. He began working as a mechanic for Burkholder Service in Hunter and later worked in Fargo for several years at F-M Auto Mart and Gateway Chevrolet.
Dennis loved his time spent with family and friends, especially his grandsons. He also was a champion snowmobile racer, sponsored for many years by Arctic Cat.
He is survived by two daughters, Dawn (Steve) Petersen, Hunter and Dana (Zachary) Morgan, Jacksonville, FL; mother, Lorraine Ramstad, Arthur; sister, Carol (Myron) Brend, Fargo; brother, Daylen (Polly), Fargo; two grandsons, John Petersen and Daxton Morgan and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, sister, Connie and brother, Darrell.
Visitation: Wednesday, October 28, 2009 from 6 to 7 in First Lutheran Church, Hunter, ND, with a prayer service at 7.
Funeral Service: Thursday, October 29, at 2 in First Lutheran Church, Hunter.
Burial: Hunter Cemetery.
