Vera Ann James, 72, Laketon, died Sunday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Dorothy) Eldridge.
Born Oct. 26, 1903, in Wabash County, she was the daughter of Warren and Elizabeth (Scully) Allison.
A lifelong county resident, she retired from General Tire and Rubber Co.
She married Cloyed Watson who preceded her in death in 1937. She second married Alvin James who died in 1962.
Also surviving are three sons, Jack Watson, Steve James and Bill James; another daughter, Mrs. Rex (Mary) Spangler; five sisters, Mrs. Nelda Pratt, Mrs. Forest Lake, Mrs. Geraldine Kindelsparker, Mrs. Paul Haas, and Mrs. Francis Stineman; 26 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
