Mrs Nancy V. Querry, wife of Albert J Querry of Mapleton, died in the J C Blair Memorial hospital at Huntingdon, Thursday, June 18, 1931, at 2 a.m. of a complications of diseases after several months illness. She was a patient in the hospital for the past two weeks. She was a daughter of J. Quincy and Minerva Shoop Dell (both deceased) and was born in Union township on February 5, 1882, hence was aged 49 years, 4 months and 13 days. The greater part of her life was spent in Union and Cass township. On June 11, 1901 she was united in marriage to Albert J Querry of Union township who survives with the following children: Mrs Beulah Gray, Mapleton; Mrs Ruth Bookwalter, Lewistown; and Dora, Esther and Edith, at home. Four grandchildren also survive, besides two brothers, Loyd Dell of Cass township and Lee Dell of Mount Union, also two half brothers and one half sister, George and John Shoop, Altoona and Mrs. Sallie Cresswell, Huntingdon. She was an active member of the United Brethren Church of Mapleton, and was always faithful and a tireless worker in the Master's cause, she being chief steward in the church and also being greatly interested in the Sunday School. She was also a member of Mapleton Camp, No 171, Patriotic Order of Americans, of Mapleton. Short funeral services will be held at the home in Mapleton Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock after which the cortege will proceed to Bowmans Chapel Church in Smith Valley where services will be conducted in charge of her pastor Rev. H. H. Hummel, assisted by Rev. J. C. Moses of Liverpool. Interment in the Bowmans Chapel Cemetery.
