Anne Porter, a daughter of David and Florah [née Brownfield] Porter, was born in the bounds of Fishing Creek in Chester County, South Carolina on July 7th 1782. She married John Gaston, a son of Joseph and Martha [née Gaston] Gaston in 1804. This union was blessed with the following known children:

Juliet Victoria {m. McCammon}(1807-1881)
Joseph Alexander (1810-1868)
