Martha Mobley was born in White Co., Tenn. in 1813,
She married James R. "Jim" Walling.
They migrated to Texas is 1838, setting in the Daly
Community, Houston co. Texas.
They had the following children;
Amanda b. 1836 and Robert b. 1837 were born in White Co. Tenn.
All the rest were born in Daly.
Hosea 1839, Elisha 1842, Richard 1845, Elizabeth 1847, Sarah Jane 1849, Joseph "Joe" 1853, James "Jim" 1855, & Davidson "Dave" 1858.

Hosea and Robert were both in "The Battle of Valverde"
in Socorro County, New Mexico. Robert died of Pneumonia on March 11, 1862. Hosea died from wounds received in the battle on March 14, 1862 and both are buried in unmarked graves in Socorro County, and located by Jacqueline
