James "Jim" F. Borgess, 74, formerly of Maumee currently of Waterville, OH passed into eternal life Saturday, November 7, 2009, after a long illness.

He was born October 24, 1935, to Charles and Elinor (Hennen) Borgess.

Jim lived all his life in the Maumee area attending St. Joseph School, Maumee High School and also attended Bowling Green State University.

He served in the US Coast Guard during the Korean War.

Jim was employed in sales for Armour-Dial Inc., maintenance for St. Joan of Arc and most recently worked for All-Phase Electric.

Jim loved life and being with people especially making them laugh. He enjoyed being outdoors, playing golf, sailing, motor-homing and wintering in Florida.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Jacqueline "Jackie" (Ogden) Borgess; children, Jennifer (Tom) Greenlese, Jamie (Keith) Krobath, John (Aline) Borgess, Jill (Cesar) Balibrea and Jason (Pamela) Borgess; 11 grandchildren and sister, Sue (Jerry) Vanderhoff.

Family and friends may visit Monday, November 9, 2009, from 4-8 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at 10:30 am in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Maumee. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Maumee.

The family requests memorial contributions to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 East River Road Perrysburg, OH 43551 or the St. Vincent dePaul Society at St. Joseph Church.
