Mrs. D. E. Richardson, of Tillamook, Or., who died Tuesday at St. Vincent's Hospital, was born in Bonaparte, Iowa, November 11, 1842, and crossed the plains to Oregon with her parents in 1852. Mrs. Richardson's father, Isaac Dofflemyer, later went with his family to Puget Sound, where he took up a donation land claim near the present city of Olympia.

Mrs. Richardson was married to John M. Chapman, of Olympia, in 1861. Mr. Chapman was prominent in pioneer days in Washington Territory. Three children survive this union, Mrs. R. L. McClelland, of Seattle; C. W. Chapman, of Tacoma, and Miss Laura V. Chapman, of San Francisco. She is also survived by her husband, Captain J. A. Richardson. of Tillamook, Or. the remains were taken to Olympia, Wash., for interment.
