Note: Adam Grubb(D4-65) (April 20, 1790 - June 7, 1820) was a Wilmington tinsmith who lived on Front Street between Market and King Streets. On November 17, 1817, he married Mary Hemphill (November 9, 1799 - August 12, 1877), daughter of William Hemphill and Mary McIntyre. They had a son born several months before he died at age 30. Adam was buried in the Hare's Corner Cemetery, now called Bethel Cemetery.

In September 1826, Mary remarried to Moses Palmer and had at least eight additional children. (Adam was not listed in his father's will because he was born after the will was written in 1789. However other documents establish the connection. For example, in 1801?? his mother purchased a property on Front Street in Wilmington and took title in trust for her four children, George, James, Margaret, Adam.)
