PEGGY L. MALASKE passed away Thursday, November 5, 2009 in the Pawhuska Nursing Home. She was 78 years old.
Peggy was born August 20, 1931 in Sulpher Springs, Arkansas, the daughter of Vernie Edward and Molly (Zittel) Craig. On March 8, 1952, she married Cecil "Jerry" Malaske in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. A member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Pawhuska, Peggy also taught Sunday School and sang in the church choir. She loved her church. Peggy was retired from the Pawhuska Schools, where she had served as secretary for the elementary school for many years.
Surviving family are: Her husband: Cecil "Jerry" Malaske; Her children: Debbie Hollingsworth and husband, Gary; Penny Briggs and husband, Richard; Vernon Malaske and wife, Melody; C.J. Malaske and wife, Michelle; Her sister: Patsy Gann and husband, Alvin; One grandson, eight granddaughters, ten great grandchildren, two nieces, one nephew, and a host of other family and friends. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside services will be held Monday, November 9, at 10:00 AM in the Pawhuska City Cemetery. Rev. Albert May will officiate. Interment to follow.
