Raymond Howard Estep, 88, Life Care Center, Elizabethton, died there Wednesday, January 8, 2003.
A native of Avery County, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Malland and Zora Church Estep. He had lived a number of years in Elizabethton. Mr. Estep was retired from the Polyester Division of North American Rayon Corporation. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Elizabethton. Mr. Estep had served in the CC camp.
He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Luella Stansbury Estep; a daughter and son-in-law, June and Dick Holloway, St. Louis, Mo.; a granddaughter, Lisa Mohr, and her husband, Robert Mohr, of St. Louis, Mo.; a grandson, David Holloway, St. Louis, Mo.; five great grandchildren, Taylor and Jordan Mohr, Zachary, Hannah and Abigale Holloway; two sisters, Pat Patterson and Betty Jo Ketchum, both of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
ESTEP -- Funeral services for Raymond Howard Estep, 88, Life Care Center, Elizabethton, who died Wednesday, January 8, 2003, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2003 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joe Sorah officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be notified. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
