Pauline Rich Cooper, 99, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at John Knox Manor in Montgomery, AL.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2009 Oak City Cemetery with Rev. Stephen L. Webb officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 5, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the home of Ted and Carolyn Mauldin, 1720 Douglas Drive, Bainbridge, GA. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 541, Bainbridge, GA 39818 or to John Knox Manor, 4401 Narrow Lane Road, Montgomery, AL 36116.

Mrs. Cooper was born October 7, 1910 in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of Thomas Elijah Rich and Rosa Magdeline Arline Rich. She graduated from Bainbridge High School and the University of Georgia and taught Home Economics at Bainbridge High School in the 1930's. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and served many years on the Administrative Board. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Charles N. Cooper.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn and Ted Mauldin of Bainbridge, GA and Frances and John Bricken of Montgomery, AL; four grandchildren, Mike Powell, Steven Powell, Dowe Allen, and John Bricken, III; and eight great-grandchildren.
