Funeral services for Mr. Albert Edward Gunnels, age 78, of the Hatcher Hall Community will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 11, 2009 from the Hatcher Hall Christian Church in Monroe, TN with Rev. Hillier Duke officiating. Burial will be in the Hatcher Hall Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Gunnels died November 7, 2009 at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville, TN. He was born September 12, 1931 in Overton County to the late Walter Bedford and Gertrude Ruble Gunnels.

He was a member of Hatcher Hall Christian Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Aletha Gunnels and 2 sons, Randall Gunnels and Ronald Gunnels, all of the Hatcher Hall Community.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son: Richard Gunnels, daughter-in-law: Kim Gunnels, sisters: Magdalene Conner, Bonnie Melton, Wilma Melton, Marine Garrett, Monnie Garrett, & Ethel Gunnels; and brothers, James Gunnels and Albert Gunnels.
