Imogene (Testerman) Elbert, 83,Wyandotte, Okla., passed into eternal rest July 15, 2014, at her home in rural Wyandotte.

Imogene Testerman was born July 22, 1930, in Seneca, Mo., the daughter of Frankie and Lola (Skaggs) Testerman. Imogene retired from the Wyandotte School District. She was a member of Willing Workers Club and a lifelong member of the St. Mary Catholic Church in Seneca.

Imogene Testerman married David Joseph Elbert Aug. 25, 1947, and he preceded her in death May 23, 2001.

Survivors include four sons, Galen Elbert, Wyandotte, Don Elbert, Talkeetna, Alaska, Carl Elbert and wife, Wanda, Seneca, and Paul Elbert and wife, Michelle, Broken Arrow, Okla.; four daughters, Barbara Testerman, Jefferson City, Mo., Kathy Powell, Springfield, Mo., Mary Jane McBride and husband, John, Hudson, Colo., and Janice Elbert, Denver, Colo.; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Darrel Testerman and wife, Jani, Rockport, Texas; and a host of family and friends. Imogene was preceded in death by one grandson, Michael Miller; and son-in-law, Don Powell.

Mass of a Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. July 19, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Seneca, with Rev. Patrick Teter officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery with grandsons, Russell Testerman, David Spears, Alan Powell, Cody Elbert, Ryan Powell, Erick Philippus, Jordan Elbert and Blake Elbert serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. July 18, at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca.
