Death of Elder Josiah Gresham,
14 June 1853 of a complicated disease which lasted 12mo... his last sermon was preached at Fellowship, DeKalb county.
Brother Gresham was born the 28th March 1792 in Lincoln Co., Ga & was received into the Old School Baptist church at Ozias, Henry Co., abt 1824 & was ordained into the ministry in Nov 1828... was in the service of 4 churches. His family consists of a loving wife & 5 dear children, 2 married & 3 single... Yellow River Association... he was taken home to rest with his 12 infants & 1 dear daughter, so that out of 18 children there are but 5 living.
