Deceased Name: Mary (Adams) Steele
A vigil service for Mary Geraldine (Adams) Steele, 74, will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church in Cheney. A funeral Mass will be said at the church at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. Friday at the Harrington Cemetery in Harrington, Wash.

Mrs. Steele, who was born in Davenport, Wash., died Saturday. She was a longtime resident of Cheney.

She graduated from the Academy Catholic School in Sprague, Wash., and also graduated from the Sacred Heart School of Nursing in 1948 and worked as a nurse for a time.

Mrs. Steele married Paul Steele in 1959 in the St. Rose of Lima Church.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, David Steele of Spokane, John Steele of Cheney and Martin Steele of Ephrata, Wash.; a daughter, Mary Hurd of Cheney; and four grandchildren.
