Stella E. O’Meara, 89, passed away Sunday (Feb 13, 1972) at the Lincoln Nursing Home in Davenport. She is survived by one brother, Francis J. Rieth of Harrington, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Born in Pendleton, OR, on Aug 31, 1882 to Ellen and Eugene Rieth, she was married at The Dalles, Oregon, in 1920 to Paul O’Meara. Most of their married life was spent in Ione, Oregon.
Following her husband’s death in 1958, she continued living in Ione until 1967 when she moved to Harrington to be near her brother.
She has lived in the Lincoln Nursing Home since the new wing was opened in 1970.
Burial in Hillcrest Cemetery, Harrington.
