Duden, all of his lfe until his marriage, when he moved into his own home next door. After leaving school he entered the grocery business with Charles Nichlos under the firm name of Nichlos and Gawn. Later Mr. Nichlos sold out his holding to James Reagan and the business was operated under the name of Reagan and Gawn. About three years ago ill health prevented Mr. Gawn from attending to his business affairs and he retired from the business which he had helped to build up and spent the intervening peroid in retirement in his home.

Mr. Gawn is survived by his wife and two children, a daughter Elma, aged 8 and a son Samuel, known as "Dick" aged 2. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Amelia Faragher, four brothers, Charles, Theron, Bert abd Dr. J.L. Faragher, and three sisters, Mrs. Crehore, Mrs. A. Cameron and Mrs. W.B. Todd, and his aunt, Mrs. D.E. Duden, with whom he had made his home a large part of his life.

The deceased was a member of the local Masonic lodge and of the Forest City Commandery of the Knights Templar.

Arragements for the funeral services have not yet been fully completed. The funeral will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the family home and will be entirely Masonic in its character. The Rev. W.H. Maughiman, of the Gawn Methodist chruch, will offer a prayer and the remainder of the service will be conducted by the Forest City Commandery, No. 10, Knights Templar of Cleveland. The Elyria commandery will also be in attenance as will the members of the other Masonic bodies of the city. The local blue lodge will act as escort. Interment will take place in Elmwood cemetery.
